It is narrated from Hazrat Job Ansari, may Allah be pleased with him, that a man presented himself before the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and asked him to advise him about a task that would draw him closer to Paradise and away from Hellfire. The Prophet (PBUH) advised him to merely worship Allah and not to associate anyone with Him, to maintain prayer and give the obligatory charity, and to be kind to his relatives. When the man left, the Prophet (PBUH) remarked that if he followed the instructions given to him, he would surely enter Paradise.
حضرت ایوب انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے ایک شخص رسول اکرم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوکر عرض کرنے لگا کہ مجھے کوئی ایسا کام بتایئے جو مجھے جنت کے قریب اور جہنم سے دور کردے۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا تم صرف اللہ تعالیٰ کی عبادت کرو اور کسی کو اس کا شریک نہ بناؤ، نماز قائم کرو اور زکوۃ ادا کرو اور رشتہ داروں کے ساتھ صلہ رحمی کرو۔ جب وہ واپسی کیلئے چلا تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا اگر یہ شخص ان باتوں پر عمل پیرا ہوا جن کا اسے حکم دیا گیا ہے تو ضرور جنت میں جائے گا۔

Muslim, Book of Zakat
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, ‘It is enough for a man to be sinful that he withholds the sustenance of one whom he is responsible for.’
حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے رسول اکرم ﷺ نے فرمایا کسی آدمی کے گناہگار ہونے کے لئے اتنا ہی کافی ہے کہ جس کے خرچ کا وہ ذمہ دار ہے اس کا خرچ روک لے۔

Muslim, Book of Zakat
It is narrated by Hazrat Jaber, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, ‘Spend first on yourself; then, if there is something left, spend on your family; if there is still something left from your family, then spend on your relatives; and if there is still something left from your relatives, then spend on those around you, on those to your right and left.
حضرت جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے رسول اکرم ﷺ نے فرمایا پہلے اپنی ذات پر خرچ کرو ،پھر اگر کچھ بچے تو اپنے اہل و عیال پر خرچ کرو، پھر اگر اپنے اہل و عیال سے کچھ بچے تو اپنے رشتہ داروں پر ،اور اگر رشتہ داروں سے بھی کچھ بچ جائے تو ادھر ادھر اپنے سامنے، دائیں بائیں والوں پر خرچ کرو۔

Muslim, Book of Kindness and Connection:
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira may Allah be pleased with him, a person said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, there are some of my relatives with whom I try to connect, but they cut me off. I treat them well, but they treat me badly. I am patient with them, but they behave ignorantly towards me.’ The Prophet (PBUH) replied, ‘If you are as you have said, it is as if you are feeding them hot ashes, and you will continue to have a supporter from Allah against them as long as you do so.
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے ایک شخص نے کہا اے اللہ کے رسول ﷺ میرے بعض رشتہ دار ایسے ہیں کہ میں ان سے تعلق جوڑتا ہوں وہ مجھ سے توڑتے ہیں ،میں ان کے ساتھ نیکی کرتا ہوں اور وہ میرے ساتھ برائی کرتے ہیں ،میں ان کے ساتھ بردباری کے ساتھ پیش آتا ہوں اور وہ میرے ساتھ جہالت آمیز سلوک کرتے ہیں۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا اگر تم درحقیقت ایسا ہی کرو جیسا کہ تم نے کیا ہے تو تم ان کو جلتی ہوئی راکھ کھلا رہے ہو اور جب تک تم اس طرح کرتے رہو گے اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے ان کے مقابلہ میں تمہارا ایک مدد گار رہے گا۔

Muslim, Book of Virtue and Connection:
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said, Allah Almighty created the creature and when He was free from it, the womb (the connection) stood up and said, ‘This is the place of the one who seeks refuge from severing the ties of kinship.’ Allah Almighty said, ‘(O womb), aren’t you satisfied that I will connect with those who connect with you and will not connect with those who do not connect with you?’ The womb said, ‘Yes, I agree.’ Allah Almighty said, ‘This is your right.’ Then the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said, ‘If you wish you may read these verses (interpretation), ‘Soon near is, if you are given control, then you spread corruption on the earth and break your family ties. These are the people whom Allah has cursed and made them deaf and blind. So don’t they contemplate the Holy Quran? Or are there locks on their hearts? (Surah Muhammad 47, Verses: 24,22)
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے رسول کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اللہ تعالیٰ نے مخلوق کو پیدا فرمایا اور جب ان سے فارغ ہوگیا تو رحم (رشتہ داری) نے کھڑے ہوکر کہا یہ قطع رحمی سے پناہ مانگنے والے کا مقام ہے ۔اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا (اے رحم) کیا تم اس سے راضی نہیں ہو کہ میں اس سے ملوں گا جو تم سے ملیں گے اور ان سے تعلق نہ رکھوں گا جو تم سے تعلق نہ رکھے گا۔ رحم نے کہا کہ جی ہاں ضرور راضی ہوں۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا ہے یہ تمہارا حق ہے پھر رسول کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اگر تم چاہو تو یہ آیات پڑھو (ترجمہ) قریب ہے کہ اگر تمہیں حکومت دی جائے تو تم زمین میں فساد پھیلاؤ اور اپنی رشتہ داریوں کو توڑ ڈالو، یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن پر اللہ تعالیٰ نے لعنت کی ہے پھر ان کو بہرا اور اندھا کردیا تو کیا وہ قرآن مجید میں غوروفکر نہیں کرتے کیا ان کے دلوں پر تالے پڑے ہوئے ہیں۔ (سورۃ محمد۴۷ آیت۲۴۔۲۲)

(Muslim, Book of Righteousness and Good Manners) (Bukhari) (Sunan Abu Dawood, Vol 1, Book of Zakat, Hadith 1691)
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, “Anyone who wishes for an increase in his sustenance or for his life to be prolonged, should maintain good relationships with his relatives.
حضرت انس بن ما لک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روا یت ہے کہ رسو ل کر یم ﷺ نے فر مایا . جو شخص یہ چا ہتا ہو کہ اس کے رزق میں فرا خی کی جا ئے یا اس کی عمر دراز کی جا ئے تو وہ صلہ رحمی ( رشتہ دا روں سے اچھا سلو ک) کر ے ۔

Sunan Abu Dawood, Volume 1, Chapter of Zakāt: 1690:
The Noble Prophet’s ﷺ honorable wife, Umm al-Mumineen Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates, “I had a slave girl (a maid or a servant), whom I later freed. When the Noble Prophet ﷺ honored me with his visit, I informed him about it. So he ﷺ said, ‘May Allah reward you if you had given her to your maternal uncles, it would have been a great reward for you (you would have received a great reward.
نبی کریم ﷺ کی زو جہ محتر مہ میمو نہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیا ن کر تی ہیں کہ میری ایک کنیز (با ندی ، لو نڈی ) تھی پس میں اسے آزاد کر دیا ۔نبی کریم ﷺ میرے پاس تشر یف لا ئے تو میں نے انہیں اس کے متعلق بتا یا ۔ پس آپ ﷺ نے فر مایا اللہ تعا لیٰ تمہیں اجر و ثواب عطا کرے اگر تم اسے اپنے ما موں کو دے دیتیں تو تمہا رے لیے اجر عظیم ہو تا ( تمہیں اجر عظیم ملتا

Sunan Abu Dawood Volume 1, Book of Zakat: 1693:
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded to perform charity, then a man said, “O Messenger of Allah! I have a Dinar (gold coin).” He (peace be upon him) said, “Spend it on yourself.” He said, “I have another Dinar.” He (peace be upon him) said, “Spend it on your son.” He said, “I have another Dinar.” He (peace be upon him) said, “Spend it on your wife.” He said, “I have another Dinar.” He (peace be upon him) said, “Spend it on your servant.” He said, “I have yet another, O Messenger of Allah.” He (peace be upon him) said, “You know best where to spend it.
حضرت ابو ہر یر ہ رضی اللہ عنہ بیا ن کرتے ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ نے صدقہ کا حکم فر مایا تو ایک شخص نے کہا اللہ کے رسول ﷺ ! میرے پاس ایک دینا ر ہے آپ ﷺ نے فر مایا اپنی ذات پر خرچ کر ۔اس نے کہا میرے پا س ایک اور دینا ر ہے، آپ ﷺ نے فر مایا اپنے بیٹے پر خرچ کر۔ اس نے کہا میرے پاس ایک اور دینار ہے، آپ ﷺ نے فر مایا اپنی بیوی پر خرچ کر۔ اس نے کہا : میرے پاس ایک اور بھی ہے آپ ﷺ نے فر مایا اسے اپنے خادم پر خر چ کر۔ اس نے کہا : میرے پاس ایک اور بھی ہے، آپ ﷺ نے فر مایا ��تو زیا دہ جا نتا ہے ( کہ کہاں خرچ کر نا ہے۔

Sunan Abu Dawood, Volume 1, Book of Zakat: 1694:
Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Auf, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that I heard the Prophet of Allah ﷺ saying, “Allah the Exalted says, ‘I am Rahman (The Merciful) and he (who maintains kinship) is also rahm (merciful). I have named him after one of My Names (Rahman). Whoever will keep good relations with him, I will keep good relations with him (will bestow My mercy on him), and whoever will sever relations with him, I will sever relations with him (will deprive him of My Mercy)’.
حضرت عبدالرحمن بن عوف رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کر تے ہیں کہ میں نے رسو ل اللہ ﷺ کو فر ماتے ہو ئے سنا کہ اللہ تعا لیٰ فر ماتے ہیں میں رحمن ہوں اور وہ ( صلہ رحمی ) بھی رحم ہے اور میں نے اس کا نام اپنے ( نام رحمن ) سے رکھا ہے جو اسے ملا ئے گا ( یعنی صلہ رحمی کر ے گا ) میں اسے ( اپنی رحمتوں سے) ہمکنار کروں گا اور جو اسے قطع کرے گا ( صلہ رحمی نہیں کرے گا) میں اسے اپنی رحمت سے منقطع کروں گا۔

Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood:
It is narrated from Hazrat Maa’wiya bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I submitted, “O the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, with whom should I show kindness?” You ﷺ commanded, “With your mother.” I submitted then with whom? You ﷺ commanded, “With your mother.” I asked then with whom? You ﷺ commanded, “With your mother.” I submitted then with whom? You ﷺ commanded, “With your father.” Then in the order of their relationship to you.”
حضرت معا ویہ بن حیدہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے عرض کیا ۔اے اللہ کے رسو ل ﷺ میں کس کے ساتھ احسا ن کرو ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فر مایا ۔ اپنی وا لدہ کے ساتھ ۔ میں نے عرض کیا پھر کس سے ؟آپ ﷺ نے فر مایا ۔ اپنی والدہ سے ۔ میں نے کہا پھر کس سے ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فر مایا اپنی والدہ سے ۔میں نے عرض کیا پھر کس سے ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فر مایا ۔ اپنے والد سے ۔پھر مر تبہ کی تر تیب سے اپنے قریبی رشتہ داروں سے ۔
